Spring Service Day 2009 at Andrews Elementary School
The Entrepreneurs Foundation held its largest Service Day to date on May 15th at Andrews Elementary with over 350 employees from 25 different companies volunteering their time and talents. Volunteers performed a lasting transformation by creating a walking trail with exercise stations, landscaping the front of the school, painting a mural, assembling teacher packets, performing maintenance on the exterior of the school, hosting a field day with the students, and creating mosaics. AISD Ground Maintenance, as well as the nonprofits Active Life and the Sustainable Food Center, provided assistance in overseeing the projects. Volunteers received a special treat when Andrews students came out during the lunch break to perform their school song.
