Our Success Fall Service Day 2008
Fall Service Day 2008 at Govalle Elementary School
On October 10, 2008 over 300 employees of Austin's emerging growth companies descended on Govalle Elementary School for a much needed make-over. Working from the school's wish-list the volunteers landscaped the campus, painted the interior and exterior of the school, created a learning butterfly garden and a mosaic, planted trees, and painted an outdoor mural. The volunteers, led by Youth Interactive, also hosted a field day for the students.

Said Nancy Maniscalco, Govalle's principal:
"Govalle Elementary is an old school and a proud school, in continuing need of beautification. Through the generosity and terrific energy and skills of these 300 volunteers, our campus has undergone an 'extreme makeover.' Govalle is so fortunate to have such an outstanding community partner in the Entrepreneurs Foundation!"
A big thank you to all the volunteers and to the Fall Service Day sponsors: Cicada, KLE Foundation, Webify, and vcfo.
