Fall Service Day 2007 at Rodriguez Elementary School
Rodriguez Elementary was transformed when nearly 200 volunteers came together in fall of 2007. Volunteers planted nearly 100 trees and landscaped around the entire campus. Youth Interactive worked with volunteers to host a field day for the 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students. Muralist Carol Hawkins designed a scaled version of the solar system and then supervised a team of volunteers to transform a beige hallway into a magnificent learning tool for students. This was all possible due the hard work of 13 hi-tech companies and the generosity of Wayport and vcfo.
