The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas helps make Central Texas a better place to live, work and play. We harness the intellectual capital and energy of the Central Texas entrepreneurial community to help focus these assets on meaningful volunteer activities to support non-profit organizations in the area. Since 1999, EF volunteers have contributed over 12000 volunteer hours through our programs. The Entrepreneurs Foundation brings entrepreneurs together with other community and business leaders to brainstorm fresh approaches to community challenges and works with local nonprofits to create community involvement opportunities that provide a sense of accomplishment and connection to our community. Our Community of Entrepreneurs has made a huge impact in our community – read how below.
Bi-Annual Service Days
Each spring and fall, volunteers and member company volunteer teams come together to participate in one-day service projects to benefit local non-profits. The Entrepreneurs Foundation coordinates these annual service projects and encourages member companies to get involved – employees get out of the office, get to know each-other and have a lot of fun, all while working as a team to do something good for our community. In the past year, over 400 volunteers have participated in our service days.

Leadership Projects
As part of our mission to engage leaders of the technology community, the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas sponsors community leadership initiatives (or projects), bringing entrepreneurs together with other community and business leaders to brainstorm fresh approaches to community challenges. Past project teams targeted East Austin Revitalization and Equity in Education. EF recently launched an initiative to assess and address the availability of resources for breast cancer survivors.

Volunteers
The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas engages volunteers from the entrepreneurial and technology companies of Central Texas. Since 1999, our volunteers have contributed over 12000 volunteer hours working with different non-profit organizations . Volunteers have donated their time, talent and energy in so many different ways: they have volunteered for leadership project teams or committees; sorted food, painted, hammered or nailed as part of our bi-annual service days; shared a specific talent such as marketing or business to help a non-profit in need; adopted entire schools; tutored or mentored one-on-one with at-risk youth; refurbished computers and many, many more activities. Collectively, our volunteers have made a tremendous impact in our community.

Hurricane Relief
When Hurricanes Katrina and Rita destroyed the Gulf Coast region, the State of Texas and our own Austin residents stepped up to help out our new neighbors in need. In just 2 days time, Austin became home to over 5000 new residents, most of who were without shelter, clothing, food or jobs. EF member companies immediately stepped up to the plate and sprung into action to do what they could to help.
