We offer a financial vehicle for emerging-growth companies to allocate inexpensive, private equity to a donor-advised fund, creating a source of funding for charitable grants that doesn't impact company earnings or operating cash.
We advise and facilitate a strategic corporate community involvement program - giving small- to medium-sized companies resources and experience they otherwise aren't able to afford.
The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas will work with member companies to develop corporate community involvement programs that enhance corporate cultures and offer valuable team-building opportunities. We can meet with and survey company employees to gauge range and degree of interest in community involvement activities. After survey results are tallied, we will connect the company and its employees with volunteer opportunities that coincide with their interests and goals but that are also well-defined, finite and accomplishable. We can be as involved in the planning and implementation of a customized corporate community involvement program as desired by the company. In practice, we find that the most robust corporate community involvement programs are the ones driven by employees and encouraged by management.
The Entrepreneurs Foundation works works with member companies to develop:
- A corporate strategy for philanthropy and community involvement
- Corporate giving policies
- Employee giving programs
- Employee volunteer programs
- Internal infrastructure to support programs
- Marketing programs for internal and external audiences
No. One of the benefits of donating equity to the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas and becoming a member company is being able to tap into our advising and implementing services and participate in our annual service days and other coordinated volunteer activities. We ask that member companies that have liquidity events allocate 20% of the proceeds generated by their donated equity to us so that we may launch leadership projects and continue to serve our member companies and the community with our volunteer coordinating services.
Yes. Although many of our volunteers have come from our member companies, a significant number have sought to connect with us on their own. The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas is committed to engaging the time and talent of the Central Texas entrepreneurial community.
Our leadership projects are designed to bring entrepreneurs together with other community and business leaders to brainstorm fresh approaches to community challenges. Past project teams targeted East Austin revitalization, equity in education, and breast cancer services in Central Texas. We recently launched an initiative to assess and address the availability of resources for breast cancer survivors.
We consider projects from a variety of sources and particularly value ideas submitted by leaders in the technology community and individuals active with civic initiatives.
