Yes. The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas is a non-profit corporation with tax exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a public charity.
Our mission is to help emerging-growth companies connect in the community and build successful corporate cultures. We amplify the philanthropic efforts of our member companies who invest time, talent and equity to make Central Texas an even better place to live, work, and play.
Prominent venture capitalists in Central Texas, including Bill Bock of CenterPoint Ventures and John Thornton of Austin Ventures, created the Austin Entrepreneurs Foundation in 1999. In 2004, the Austin Entrepreneurs Foundation and Austin Idea Network, an organization formed to connect technology industry employees with community projects, joined together to become the Entrepreneurs Foundation & Idea Network. In January 2006, the Entrepreneurs Foundation & Idea Network was renamed the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas.
Since its inception in 1999, over 225 emerging companies (predominantly venture capital-backed companies), have donated equity to the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas. So far, these donations of equity have created over $3 million in cash and marketable securities for local non-profits. Our current portfolio contains equity from 100 active companies.
Collectively, volunteers from the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas have contributed over 12,000 volunteer hours since 1999.
Not at this time. The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas will use its resources to encourage, host and manage corporate donor-advised funds for entrepreneurial companies, help such donors develop community involvement programs and facilitate leadership projects that bring entrepreneurs with community leaders to brainstorm fresh approaches to community challenges.
The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas is an independent nonprofit organization. We are part of a network of Entrepreneurs Foundation nationwide and Tel Aviv, Israel. Click here to view all of the Entrepreneurs Foundation affiliates. Entrepreneurs Foundation affiliates confer quarterly by telephone and meet annually in person to share updates, best practices, materials and networks. On a collective basis, over 600 companies have joined the Entrepreneurs Foundation worldwide.

The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas is supported through liquidity events from donated stock of our member companies and financial contribution from individual donors, corporations and foundation.
The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Central Texas welcomes contact and introductions from the entrepreneurial and non-profit communities, as well as financial support. Donations can help to ensure the continued operations of the organization or may be donated towards specific project efforts as indicated by the donor. We would also appreciate your willingness to serve as proponents of our organization by mentioning to others our name and mission.
